What it does

Acuity works out the open times for each appointment type, and your receptionist books callers into the types you choose.

How to connect

  1. In Acuity, open “Integrations”, then “API”, and copy your User ID and key.
  2. In your dashboard, tap “Assistants” and open your assistant.
  3. Open the “Connections” tab.
  4. Under “Acuity Scheduling”, tap “Connect Acuity”.
  5. Paste your User ID and key and tap “Continue”.
  6. Tick the appointment types your receptionist may book and tap “Connect”.

We keep your key encrypted and only use it to check times and book. To change which types it books, tap “Change”.

What gets sent

  • A booking for the appointment type and time the caller picked.
  • The caller's name, phone number, and email if they gave one.

What happens on a call

  • Your assistant checks your real openings before it offers a time, and only offers times that are free.
  • When the caller picks a time, it books it straight away and tells them it's booked.
  • If the caller gives an email address, they also get a confirmation email.
  • Callers can ring back to move or cancel a booking. Your assistant finds it by their phone number and name, and you get an alert about the change.
  • You get an email about every new booking (set the addresses on the “Behavior” tab, under “Notifications & recording”).

Disconnect

Tap “Disconnect” under “Acuity Scheduling”. Until you connect a calendar again, your receptionist saves new bookings as requests for you to confirm.
