What it does
Your receptionist offers the open times of the Cal.com event type you pick, and books callers into it.
How to connect
- In Cal.com, open Settings, then “Developer”, then “API keys”. Make a new key that doesn't expire and copy it.
- In your dashboard, tap “Assistants” and open your assistant.
- Open the “Connections” tab.
- Under “Cal.com”, tap “Connect Cal.com”.
- Paste it into “Your Cal.com key” and tap “Next”.
- Under “Which kind of booking should your assistant make?”, pick the event type and tap “Connect”.
We keep your key locked (encrypted).
What gets sent
- The booking's title: the customer's name and the service, for example “Sam Lee – Haircut”.
- Their phone number, and their email if they gave one.
- Their answers to the questions you set on the “Behavior” tab, and any notes.
- A line saying it was booked by your AI receptionist, by phone call or website chat.
What happens on a call
- Your assistant checks your real openings before it offers a time, and only offers times that are free.
- When the caller picks a time, it books it straight away and tells them it's booked.
- If the caller gives an email address, they also get a confirmation email.
- Callers can ring back to move or cancel a booking. Your assistant finds it by their phone number and name, and you get an alert about the change.
- You get an email about every new booking (set the addresses on the “Behavior” tab, under “Notifications & recording”).
Reconnect or disconnect
Tap “Reconnect” to paste a new key or pick a different event type, or “Disconnect” to stop. Until you connect a calendar again, your receptionist saves new bookings as requests for you to confirm.
